FOR GENERAL PLANT HEALTH

Anthyllis is a cost-effective method of
growing crops with zero residues in a sustainable
way, reducing or eliminating the need for chemical treatment.

WHY ANTHYLLIS?

Growers since ancient times have noticed that garlic plants (Allium sativum) are not attractive to certain insects, animals and fungi and they used garlic sprays to stimulate the natural ability of plants to resist pests and diseases. Today, garlic sprays are routinely used as a growth supplement in crops such as lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, ornamentals, wheat, brassicas and turf for healthier insect- and fungi-free plants.

Anthyllis is a natural product derived from garlic extract. It contains high levels of allicin, which has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, as well as over 30 other sulphur-based nutrients and selenium that will stimulate plant growth. It has a systemic and prophylactic action as well as a very low content of solids making it ideal for drip irrigation. Anthyllis is water-based, standardised, concentrated and biodegradable.

BENEFITS OF ANTHYLLIS

PLANT HEALTH AND HYGIENE

When Anthyllis is used from an early stage in the crop it helps produce good clean healthy root systems and creates a barrier from most nematodes and insect pests. It is a high sulphur content product for sustainable, chemical-free crop production.

STIMULATES GROWTH

Applied in a programme of treatments Anthyllis helps to resist the adverse effects of stresses due to drought and unbalanced nutrition. It stimulates growth, vigour and tillering giving strong, healthy and compact plants. It also assists in optimising the effects of fertilisation.

FUNGAL AND INSECT SUPPRESSION

Regular use of Anthyllis will assist crops to resist or recover from most of the common fungal diseases and aid plants' natural resistance to insects such as whitefly, thrips, and aphids. Research worldwide has shown garlic's fungistatic and fungicidal activity against Phytophthora spp., Phythium spp., Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium oxysporum, Botrytis cinerea, Alternaria brassisicola and numerous other pathogenic fungi.

HOW TO USE ANTHYLLIS

USE REGULARLY

For optimal results Anthyllis should be used from early on in the growing season, up to harvest. The exact quantity depends on crop type, growing stage, environmental conditions and desired result. It is rain fast in one hour in summer and two hours in winter. Using high doses at regular intervals (pulsing) can be a very useful tool in managing growth. For added fungal protection Anthyllis is often used in a programme with Garshield suitable for use in glasshouse and field crops.

SPRAY OR IRRIGATION

Diluted 1:100 in water, Anthyllis can be used either through a drip irrigation system, or sprayed as a fine spray to run off. During use the characteristic smell of garlic will become evident; however, treated areas and plants will become odourless.

Available in 5L, 20L and 1000L containers
