WHY AMENITY?
Amenity is a natural product derived from garlic extract, seaweed and citrus. It is water-based, standardised, concentrated and biodegradable. It contains high levels of allicin, which has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. It has a systemic and prophylactic action. It is suitable for use in general amenity areas including parks, gardens, playing fields, grasslands and conservation areas.
BENEFITS OF AMENITY
PLANT HEALTH AND HYGIENE
When applied in a programme of treatments Amenity creates good clean healthy root systems and is also a foliar feed.
STIMULATION OF GROWTH
Due to its high levels of sulphur and selenium Amenity has the following benefits:
- Stimulates growth, vigour and tillering
- Helps plants to resist the adverse effects of stress due to drought and unbalanced nutrition
- Gives strong, healthy and compact plants
FUNGAL AND INSECT SUPPRESSION
Regular use of Amenity assists crops to resist or recover from most of the common fungal diseases and aids plants' natural resistance to insects. Research worldwide has shown garlic's fungistatic and fungicidal activity against Phythium spp., Phytophthora spp., Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium oxysporum, Botrytis cinerea, Alternaria brassisicola and numerous other pathogenic fungi.
HOW TO USE AMENITY
USE REGULARLY
For optimal results Amenity should be used regularly every 7-14 days when plants are actively growing in summer and monthly during spring/winter. It is rain fast in one hour in summer and two hours in winter. Ideally apply late afternoon when plants are more receptive. During use the characteristic smell of garlic will become evident; however, treated areas and plants will soon become odourless.
SPRAY, DRENCH OR DRIP IRRIGATION
Amenity can be used through a drip irrigation system or sprayed as a fine spray to run off, diluted 1:100 or 1:50 in water depending on requirement and density of foliage.
